Carb Balancer on a budget !

Post by seantopbloke »

i have just balanced my carbs with one of those £16 carb balancers on Ebay, supposedly it was for a CB450DX but i read on this site somewher that you guys have used it, I have never been so impressed by such a simple gadget, my storm runs a smooth as a purring kitten wrap in Andrex after a Dove soap bath, i cant beleive how silky smooth she is.
I normally use a Carbtune 2 but a mate of mine borrowed & then went to work away for 6 months without giving it back, now i got this new one i dont want it back, this £16 effort is all i need for my baby from now on, i haven't even cleaned the plugs yet, if anyone is in any doubt don't be, buy one it is awesome & only takes about 2 minutes
Its the sound of thunder at the back end that makes me smile at the front end !

Hmm. I paid £50 to get my carbs balanced. Whats involved (I would look in the Haynes but its down the garage)?

Can you give me the link to the gadget too please?

ebay search for 'carb balancer' or 'vacuum gauges' and there are loads to choose from.
if you use buy it now theres a seller called oilyhands doing nice twin gauges for £30
i got the 4 cyl set nearly new in the auction - lots to choose from
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

That's the same type/make of balancer I use. As you say very simple but effective. They come from this guy:-
