Cheers Wicky, yep already found the rear shock linkage, from looking at your pictures yours were similar to what i found, hopefully get the linkage back from Honda dealers tomorrow with new bearings fitted and new centre spigot so i can refit this weekend. The rear caliper was the first thing i noticed (meant to mention before) and where my rear-end stripdown started, don't think rubber had ever been changed, totally perished and spigot corroded - all sorted.
Starter motor rubber boot - ok didn't know about that, on the list for checking. Likewise headlight, fairing is off at present for cleaning (fairing and everything underneath) so should be a straight forward fix, got copperslip and selection oss hex bolts.
So....looks like everything covered (or will be by end of the weekend!)
OK, one last question. My 'Storm still has the original reg/rec so want to replace with and R6 or R1 one. Having looked on eBay though it looks to me (from the pictures shown), that the plug differs according to year (or range of years) on the Yam's. So is there a particular year or model R1/R6 reg/rec one should go for? or do my eyes deceive me and they are all the same across the year range?
Alternator Housing Centre bolts
Re: Alternator Housing Centre bolts
See the "regulator / Rectifier modification" thread in the Workshop section.
That shows you the wiring schematic, so it doesn't matter whether the one you buy has the same connector- it's a very easy conversion if you follow these instructions.
Any R1 or R6 can be made to fit, and I've not heard of one of these failing after the mod's been done, so it seems to be a fix for life.
Thoroughly recommended, as if it goes you'll probably have to replace the battery as well as the reg/rec, but stand a chance of battery explosion/acid leakage, which is going to be fairly messy and cause a lot of damage.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Alternator Housing Centre bolts
Cheers Tony, yep found instructions and a decent R1 Reg/Rec on eBay (purchased) so when it arrives seems a very straight forward job to do whilst its all in bits at the back.
And just checked the Starter motor rubber boot - very slight bit of corrosion on the terminal but nothing too much, so will clean it up whilst the cover is off and make sure it's a nice snug fit when I refit.
Really looking forward now to getting her back on the road....woohoo!
