If you wanted to put heated grips on, would you wire the earth to the frame or to the engine? does it make a difference :?: Come on guys, value your input.. :thumbup:

straight to the battery, thats how mine were done.

wired mine to the frame, and ignition so they go off when you turn the bike off (no chance of leaving em on and draining the battery) :wink:

+1 To adding a relay. Did mine a year ago - Very happy hands whatever the weather, even through winter with hippo hands.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

You could add a relay but i haven't done that, i was taught at work to wire them to the brake switch (ignition live) and put the earth wire to metal so can't short.

I wired mine straight to the battery too, lovely and toasty now, best buy i made other than the storm.
