Hi all just put some replacement downpipes on the storm to replace ones that were blowin through a dodgy weld. Now I am gettin lots of poppin and backfire
on the over run, all comin out of end of cans (which do need repacking). All was fine with the old pipes, was this because they were blowing and will repacking cans make a difference?
Thanks for looking
Matt

have a feel around the manifold where the link pipes join - might be blowing a bit.
if it is, put a bit of that gun gum stuff on it and tighten it up a bit.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Hey Matt, you could check a couple of things:
Are the Graphite gaskets that seal the pipe sections together in good condition?
And are the clamps that go round the pipes perfectly round?
I agree with Benny, seems you are definately pulling air in somewhere.
Make sure things are all tightened up properly, but whatever you do, don't overtorque(problem my missus suffers from).
Chris.

There's a hidden joint on the rear exhaust down by the shock if yoou haven't found it. That's a favorite one for leaking and causing popping and banging. Worth a look
