Engine stalling ?

Post by Jens »

Hi

Tryed it a few times now, it run fine when iam driving, slow or fast np there. When i come to a stop, and goes there in 3-2 gear, it just stop running. When i put it in free gear, it starts right away, and everything is fine.

In free gear its run arround 1000mpr.

Maybe put it to arround 12-1300 ? , if yes, do i warm the engine up first, and the set it ?

Any advice !

Warm engine up. Set idle speed to around 1200 and you should be OK.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Balance the carbs.
It reduces the "cough" you get when the engine backfires through the airbox, which causes this problem.

But they all do it to some degree, it's just a consequence of the valve timing and ignition settings as standard.

I've found that fitting an ignition advancer (-4 degrees) stops it, but not everyone agrees that this is a good mod, as it can make the engine run hotter.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
