Ha-ha! Mike bike now has a home!

Post by Jbrebel »

Managed to get my Bike Safe up and finished today! Just needs a little work on the base before I can fasten it down but at least I can get straight out now instead of having to go via my parents garage! Well happy

But if you bought two more, bolted them together and then removed the internal walls.......
Or a top-hinged complete side, which would make a nice awning when propped up

I'd considered one of these, but then I bought a metal shed which was 3x4 metres for £400 new- ok if you've got the room,I guess.
Screwfix it was.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

They’re only made just down the road from me. Although I didn’t buy this one new-got it off EBay for £385 and picked it up from Manchester. Think this particular model is about a £1000 new at the moment so it wasn’t a bad saving really. It’s very, very well made too. About 450 studs and screws hold it together and the locks are excellent quality. I’ve also got enough room to hang my mountain bike in the front and fit some shelving for my tools etc.

I’m really happy with it, just pleased I’ll be able to get out and about more easily. I’ve used the bike for work today as it happens. First time this year-God it felt good this morning and shaved about 10-15 minutes of my commute. Don't need a radio either with those Microns singing

you might need to fit a louvre grille for summer tho - i reckon it'll get scorching inside and evaporate the fuel ect, wouldnt recommend opening the door with a bifter in yer gob lol :eek2

It’s got a load of vent holes in it Benny, but still, I agree, it will get hot.

Luckily, where it’s situated, we don’t get any sun. Well, only for about an hour in the morning. I’d recommend one to anyone who needs somewhere safe and secure to keep the bike but doesn’t want it to live in the house or at another location.
