Re: Yacugar progressive springs?
why that particular make???
ive ordered some by wirth - sposed to be a bit stiffer than hagon and wb - theres a lot of different ones on the market - just wondered why they recommend them, seeing as they're dearer than most???
the wirth and hagon start at just over 60 quid.

Dunno mate.. I emailed them as don't get much opportunity to speak on the phone during the day... That's what they came back with. Also ohlins linear for about 100 notes but said the yacugar would make more difference...

Stop hijacking this thread and get back to my suspension!

Re: Yacugar progressive springs?
Or hagon progressive springs for £60? Or Progressive for £110?
Do you think there will be much difference for a 'spirited' but not loony rider?

Re: Yacugar progressive springs?
i don't know what could be the difference between a £60 pair of springs and a £110 pair of springs apart from the packaging and the sticker you get with them....Giddsy wrote:Stop hijacking this thread and get back to my suspension!![]()
the hagon, according to my m8 who has them, are still quite soft until you brake, then they stiffen up without bottoming out.
i wanted that effect, but with a firmer ride in general as i find it a bit spongy standard.
i dont exactly ride like rossi myself and at 13 1/2 stone i'd say im like middleweight???
the ones i ordered are £62 delivered and are made in germany, apparently quite good quality, whereas the hagon (i've heard) are a bit rough...
only thing is, theyre (wirth) made to order so there's a wait.
but anyway, you said
so here's a nice one.Giddsy wrote:Any recommendations also gratefully received...

===Sample Recommendation===
To Whom it May Concern,
I am privileged to write in support of my dear friend and student, Dan Peel. Dan studied in my classroom and laboratory program for close to three years, during which time I witnessed his tremendous growth and development. This development came not only in the area of business achievement and leadership, but in maturity and character as well.
Dan entered Whitman at the young age of 16, a precocious high school graduate. At first, he had difficulty accepting his place as a young, less experienced lab member. But soon, he learned the valuable trait of humility, and enjoyed the opportunity to learn from his older peers and his professors.
Dan quickly learned to manage his time, work in group situations under strict deadlines, and to recognize the importance of a strong work ethic, persistence, and intellectual integrity. He has long since become the most valuable member of my student-lab team, and a role model for his newer classmates.
I recommend Dan to your fellowship program with absolute confidence. He has made me proud, as his teacher and friend, and I am sure will continue to do so as he grows in your business program and beyond.
Thank you for the opportunity of correspondence,
Sincerely,
Dr. Amy Beck,

Re: Yacugar progressive springs?
IF I remember Yacugar is what remains of WP suspension.
I was talking to the guys at FTR a while back, It seems WP went bust a while back, and alot of the old employees started up again as Yacuugar. I think the majority of there kit is old WP stuff now re-badged.
I think FTR had quite a bit of WP shocks that they were discounting due to WP going t*ts up.
Dave

Re: Yacugar progressive springs?
I'd be tempted to ask Dan, sounds like he knows what he's doing..... What a guy.
Is he married, 'cause my sister's had a row with her other half and is checking out the options?

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: Yacugar progressive springs?
lol sorry thought it might be linked to my account!
try this for size

sorry, due to this notebook having a gay little screen, pic doesn't show the price of £79, or the prices of the progressive fork springs, 99.40 with oil and 92 without.
the ftr price must be including delivery as that pdf is off their distributor site.
i haven't got a problem with the damping on the oem shock, just the spring rate - although i think it's quite suited for my weight and riding style as it is.
the back brake would definately want uprating to get the most out of the progressive rear spring!
