Hello from a Firestorm virgin from Swindon

Post by greenslimebiker »

Hello all, I have owned my fantastic firestorm since Dec 09 and it is my return to bikes since 00, so an interesting experience. I started off being pretty law abiding but the firestorm has made me revert to the teenage biking tearaway of my youth (RD 250 sort of behaviour). If you see me around the Swindon area, you will quickly get the picture. What is it about driving past the Wiltshire Poice HQ that makes me go faster? Great to have found this site and thanks to all for running it.

Welcome in, and POST SOME PICTURES :D

Lots of good info in the knowledge base section / workshop, have a good look through that and enjoy your Storm..........riding it like you are a teenager all over agin is fairly normal, the noise and the wheelies are part of the problem!!!!

really???? with a tooth less on the front i found it was faster top end than standard, with better take off, straight to the limiter in every gear - so i went to 2 less on the front and it's fkin bonkers lol, like riding a 2 stroke and virtually impossible to keep the front wheel down! :P :P :P

i found with a 15 on the front it was still chugging a bit in town traffic, having to use the clutch a lot, but 14 is spot on (for me) - it's comfortable at less than walking pace but once you find a gap it's away like an acme rocket sled off roadrunner lol & still hits 140+ on top

Welcome to the forum GSB - a font of useful knowledge. Here's some from me: when trying to elicit riotous backfire noises from your Storm, don't mistake the horn for the killswitch - its rubbish
