small respray costs

Post by rumpleforeskin »

I have been chasing after a silver seat fairing for a while now but had no luck, there are plenty from red and custard storms at breakers though.

Anyone have an idea how much i should be looking at to get said item resprayed?

do it yourself m8. total cost about 30 quid and some paint left over.
take your time and you will get superb results.
follow the guide in workshop for best results - you will be very surprised at what you can do, even if you havent done it before.

main thing is getting the colour matched up right. under your seat is a label with a colour code.
note that down and go to halfords - get 2 aerosols made up in the right colour, get a tin of primer, some wet&dry paper - 800 & 1500 grade will do.

with metallic paints you need lacquer too = ordinary acryllic clear lacquer will do for the tailpiece
then maybe get some tcut.

then stand back and admire.
if you pm me your addy i'll send you some tail decals.

wouldn't bother taking it for a pro job - i cant see anywhere doing it for less than a ton, and it probably wont match.
