When I got back on a bike a year and a bit ago I had a tight budget and kitted out with textiles and touring Spada boots.
Now, the boots are pretty crap - the linings are all but shot and there's not a lot of armour and are most definitely not a boot for a Storm rider.
I want a decent armoured, waterproof (ish), comfy and hard wearing good value boot that I can afford - c£100. RiDE recommended is Axo Primato but buggered if I can find any closer than Germany or Philidelphia!
Any recommendations?

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Hiya
I got some really nice alpinestars in the sale last March (end of season stuff)for around £120, and you can pick up some great deals if you weed them out. I'd try to find a local stockist, find a good place to go take a look at a few, try some on for size etc, make a note on paper of which ones fit best (flexibility/armour etc) and then head home to see what is the cheapest/best price for the ones you like the best, on the net! You could save quite a bit and if not, then you can always go back and buy one you tried on...Simples....

Re: Boots!
cheers - tbh there's bugger all around here, a Triumph dealer, Suzuki (ok) and a Honda one that I wouldn't walk through the door of ever again. So was keen to track down some Axo's to check them out!

I lashed out £8 for mine at BMF rally few years ago best pair boots I've ever had, another time got a pair for my daughter for same price with a free pair for me (wear them on my CCM). Gloves were all £2 a pair, got about 6 pairs summer/winter gloves. Late sunday afternoon in Hein Gericke, (and other stalls) many clothing bargains at BMF shows
