like you I've had my share of 'other bikes' blackbird, bmw, harley, and gsxr 1000k6.......the storm is the only one I miss..............and its the one I'm going to get again when funds permit.............don't ever sell it.............you will regret it.

Welcome to the forum, you must come to the meets...........you'll have a blast.

Paul

Well done WKN

This will be a long week Pete is right :)

Chris.

PS. The only advice I can give on riding this big V twin is:

(A) change up into 2nd gear a.s.a.p. for a smoother change, you don't need to rev it out in 1st gear before you change, just let the torque do the work.

(B) I found it quite easy to lock up the back wheel by changing down too quickly into 2nd or 1st gear when approaching a T junction or roundabout when hard on the front brake (it makes the back end light), but I'm sure you'll soon get used to that. I managed to do that on my test ride at the first roundabout. :)

Enjoy :D
