Hi there,
Does anybody have the vital statistics on how to replace the coolant?
I am looking for some step by step tips (you don't need to state the obvious like 'remove the fairing' ) and quantity & type of fluid required.
Or if some one has a Service manual ... a page scan will do me too.
Many thanks!!
Replacing Coolant
Remove front fairing
Take off radiator cap
Disconnect the tube at the bottom of the rad and drain out
Take out the drain bolt at the front of the cylinder (if I remember correctly, just a bolt sitting there on its own at the front of the cylinder)
Disconnect the siphon tube from the top of the radiator and drain out the reserve container.
Idealy flush it out now.
All back together, supposed to put a new washer on the drain bolt, but I got away with not doing it.
Fill her up, I have no recollection of how much it takes, some of the other lads might remember.
Bleed it by letting it idle for 3 - 4 mins, rev it a few times, and top up the reserve.
Drive off into the sunset with a smile.

It's not too bad a job, bit messy though get a big basin for draining the coolant out and get three things of new coolant, think they are about 1 litre each, if I remember rightly, it takes 2.5 litre. I'll check tonight at home.
As for the roads down here, Oh dear, some are so bad that when you stop in the pub, you can't hold a drink with the numbness in the hands!
Give me a shout if you are heading this way and we'll tear up a few quality roads!
Pete, nothing wrong with a rosemantic, the girlies love it!!
