Tank Protection

Post by Tat_Man »

Your best aftermarket part spotting eyes at the ready,

Can anyone please tell me the make of this carbon tank protector?
Image

This is the one on tony.mon's bike gallery pics and i'm 100% positive the same as fitted to mine....well it was up until a couple of weeks ago.
Whilst giving Bertha a wash, i somehow managed to break a piece off it.
Anyway, a good two hours of cursing and many splinters of carbon fibre under my fingernails later, i'm left with some of the
stickiest sticky pads ive ever come across..another hour getting these off and i'm left with the outline of the tank protector which
has rubbed through the paint...
...so to cut whats fast becoming a long story short, i need one of these exactly the same size and shape to cover it up ,
or i'll have to look at having the tank painted which i don't want to do...because i spend all my money on exhausts. :

It's quite a distinctive shape and like anything you've been humping for a year, would recognise it anywhere...
....it was fitted when i bought it and i just don't know where to start looking

i wouldnt mind some protectors for the side, where your knees go against the tank - noticed some light scuffs there when i was cleaning mine - dont want the same on me gleaming new paintjob lol!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

why am i angry you ask???
because it has just come to my attention that gravity has decided to situate my headlamp on my flawless newly lacquered pillion cowl and has quite annoyingly indented an unsightly indentation on said item, much to my dismay
