clutch starts

a while ago when my bike had an oem honda clucth lever i could start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in, some time ago after fitting new levers i noticed i couldnt any more, when i changed my levers again the other day i noticed there is a little switchy thing in the lever, has this been known to fail, or is it likley to be a fuse somewhere thats causeing this?

I can't remember, and I'm not going out in the snow to look, but is the switch in the lever or the housing?

If (as I think) it's in the housing, changing the lever won't make any difference.
Have you checked the connections on the lead?

tony just an update, i know its 6 month's on, but ive just got round to replacing the switch and its now as it should be, switch was around 10 quid from Silvers

I know, I know, its taken ages to get round to fixing some stuff but yeh once new left side fairing it will be minted again
