Temperature gauge intermittent fault

As the title says really, seems to work for a bit and then stop with needle not coming off cold at all, even after a 45 minute ride.

Any ideas chaps?

id say dodgy wire on the back of the clock pod.
the + & - wires are little farty m4 crosshead screws (afaik) going through equally farty ring connectors.
pound to a penny theyre corroded to crouton.
bit of a clean up should sort it.

if you take it off and find the temp gauge is shagged i've got a spare one but it'll be next week before im back, at least, depending how long my dosh lasts lol

also look at the connector on the right rad - might be there it's gone.
sounds like electrical / wiring fault tho. the gauge should either work or not.

Any water/coolant in it?

If the coolant level is below the sender it'll read cold, until it blows a pipe off somewhere!
