just ordered some pirelli diablo corsa 3's shud be gettin them on tomorrow got continental road attack on at the moment.

Couldn't agree more.
The trouble is; you usually compare a knackered old set with brand new ones- new ones will always feel great once scrubbed, no matter what make. (punctures excepted)

And the magazine reviews are done by pro riders riding on tracks, maybe doesn't give as good a "real-world" indication as it might.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
