Must finish the rebuild!!!

Post by davros »

Hi everyone, I seem to have lost the plot with rebuilding my storm, done most of the hard work just need to finish it off, spent far to much time playing around on the KTM, anyway I'm strugling with the wiring loom and was wondering if anyone has a descent diagram showing the routing, I have a pdf manual but the pictures are a bit vague, also could do with the routing of the fuel/vacuum/breather pipes. Wish I'd taken some pictures when I stripped it. Any help much appreciated Cheers!

For the fuel pipes, search the workshop section for threads and piccy's.
Wiring; it goes horizontally fore-and-aft with the headlamp connector at the front. :P

Seriously, as far as I remember it's fairly obvious; except for the connector wire for the ignition trigger which runs below the carbs from left to right.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Cheers for that, the ignition wire was the one i couldn't figure out where the bugger goes, I presume it runs along side of the expansion bottle to the loom on the other side. The rest is fairly well sorted just not absolutely sure how it's clipped around the frame.

the shop manual in the knowledge base has good pics of the routing of all cables, pipes etc.
i doublechecked all mine using it and found it helpfull.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
