fallen riders :(

Post by benny hedges »

oh dear - rest in peace this un named guy, just round the corner from my house...

while i was out having a good time, the poor b8stard hit a tree on his cbr600.

condolences to his family & friends - a sad loss.

the road he came off on is my gp track, all 60 roads, roundabouts galore, adverse cambers and a dual carriageway sprint & repeat ad nauseum.
can bet the guy worked in the area and knew the roads well but very often i've had to stand the bike up on a bend cos of diesel spillage from buses.
good mind to ring plod tbh and make an issue of it, but then again, seeing as someone has now been fatally injured, it's only a matter of time before there's a 40 limit, or lower, with square ramps etc.

let you know if i hear more from neighbours - 2nd bike crash in a few weeks - last one was a girl on a gixxer600 - fast rider too, hope she was ok, just saw her bike left on the roundabout.
can be really busy down here but when the roads are clear it's a playground for bikes - sometimes things can take you by surprise eh...

sincere sympathy for those left behind.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Always sad to read.
I just can't believe how many idiots there seem to be this year wearing little or no protection (not saying it was the case here), saw a guy today on a ZX10 wearing shorts, a T shirt and no gloves and yesterday a guy on a GSXR wearing tracksuit trousers, a normal jumper and no gloves decided to race me at some lights and then wheelie at about 6omph - what is at about GSXR riders, are they all mad?
Anyway back to post, sincere condolences to family and friends, sad reading.

We saw a few ppl out riding around in shorts/t-shirts etc no gloves. The other day Dave & I went to a signage place and saw a cpl on a tourer and his lady was on the back with a vest top on and no protection. A guy from my work passed his test around xmas time and one night he was walking out ahead of me and he had work combats on, trainers etc and was carrying his lid.I said to him "I hope you aren't thinking of going home on the bike in those" to which he replied, "why not" 8O I told him the trainers wouldn't be needed anymore once he smashed his feet on the bike etc if he came off and his skin would need grafting etc....Silly boy.....
Last week someone told me he had a smash, wasn't wearing protection etc and has totally smashed his ankles and has been told he prob won't be able to ride again etc. His own fault I say and he'll be off work for months now. So not only has he added to bikers having to put up with being called irresponsible,he has also added his work load to others at work because he's going to be off!!!

But yes, very sad for the family :(
Silly boys...Women do have balls....We just wear them higher up!

Very sorry for the families concerned. I wish the ones who preach would just STFU. We all know the risks and we are all adults and we have heard it all before, So STFU and stop peaching from rooftops. :Argue 1: I wear full gear. :erection:
