sp1, rc51 US spec speedo queery

does anyone know if the american speedo on the rc51 (sp1) is any different to the uk model sp1, they both read in miles an hour but are there any differences??? will it work??

should be same afaik...
interestingly, until unification in 1955 (i think) american inches were smaller than imperial.... so their miles (and cocks) would be smaller than ours lol...
their gallons are still different - so a US car does more to the gallon because their gallons are bigger and their miles are smaller (or were)
there's a baffling array of different standard measurements - aparrently the original foot was the measure of king harold's right shoe!
had many a good heated debate on bikeforum.com with the yanks, for suggesting that it's inevitable they will be forced to go metric eventually...
ie when they try to dock the US spacestation with the euro one and they try to fit a 5/8 unf bolt into an m16 flange :lol:

sp1 clocks are miles out anyway, actual 70 mph can show 85 to 95 mph on the sp1

I think they would work too.
And Taffrs right. acording to my sat nav when the clocks register 76 I'm actually doing 70.
Can't be a$$ with a speedo healer though :?
