Cam chain tensioner

Post by gumbie man »

When i bought my bike the bloke said to he had had the cct done. My bike is a 97 model with only 9600 miles on the clock. Is there anyway to tell its actually been done. There was no paper work to say it was done. And Yes i will get a photo onto the site. Some people are just so impatient

If it's been replaced with standard Honda ones then there's no way to tell.
Even if it was changed, the "new" ones might have sat on a dealer's shelf for years with the spring wound up tight (they come like this form Honda).

I had replaced mine with standards, but then one let go 18 months later- mind you I ride every day, or did then.

HTH
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
