SP service woes.
SP service woes.
Well stripped the bike down, lifted the tank to do the filters and rear plug, trust when I say that the Storm is a breeze in comparison the SP lifts the other way and no real stay in the kit just a c spanner, anyhoo I digress. Ran the engine up to temp to change the oil and look for this fookin elusive leak when I smelt this burning odour.............ran round the other side to find the vacuum tank has come loose (no nut to be seen) and dropped on to the exhaust. looks like it has sat there for a while too as it is nearly half of what it used to be!God knows how it ran so well last time out? Great! More cash......Then rear lead plug cap sheared in half when trying to remove it (more flaming cash and no-one has it in stock) back order only. Quite glad I found the crack in a garage enviroment now though! So I am now without my bike this weekend waiting for Coil with lead/Vacuum tank/Oil seal and speed sensor. Oh well as I am strapped for cash and have been forced into doing this myself I am also learning about the SP. Its always a good thing to know your bike. I love this bike.

I know it certainly feels a bit like that, I was hoping to at least blast over and see you guys at the Storm meet on Sat!

Not to rub it in Jim...spent all weekend on mine

Even managed to bob a test ride in on a R1200GS but thats a different storey

Nothing quite feels the same after you ride an SP...

SP1's rock!
Re: SP service woes.
Yep totally agreed, after the ride on the Duke Streetfighter I was glad to jump back on the SP
