Re: Carbon/mag Wheels
mikstr has some fancy light wheels on his - sometimes they work out not much dearer than a standard wheel.
not sure if they'd really be up to the uk's shocking roads, but for the track they would make a difference.
here's a picture of some lighter wheels

i prefer the old style ones as the new pentagonal wheels tend to separate easily and the middle bit doesn't turn against the flint.
call me a luddite, but i think if sumat aint broke, you shouldn't fix it.
btw i don't recommend you fit pentagonal wheels to your bike as it may cause a narrow band of vibration between 800 rpm & redline.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Re: Carbon/mag Wheels
not sure what these are like - don't know anyone who's used them, but it would surely make a difference to the handling -
michelin power pure lightweight 2 compound tyres.... apparently over 2lbs lighter than other brands.

anyone used these???? any good???
there's a £20 free fuel voucher if you buy them this month

Re: Carbon/mag Wheels
You could try drilling lightness holes in the tyres and wheels, same as the Blade fairings of old, although you'd need a nice stout inner tube.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
