Bottom end noise

I know the title makes you think this thread is all about farting.

Anyways started the bike yesterday and heard a funny noise kinda like when I used to put a playing card in the back wheel spokes of my push bike.

When I rev the noise picks up too. Listened to both cylinders with the old screwdriver to the ear trick but nothing.

Suddenly as the bike was heating up the noise started to fade a wee bit. Went for a 100 mile run yesterday with no problems to report.

This morning same thing, start her up same noise. As it was related to temperature the day before I thought ahha oil related problem. Felt the oil filter and could feel a vibration that matched the noise so screw driver to ear and onto oil filter.

The oil an filter was changed a couple of months ago. My theory is that one of the screens is causing the sound. Anybody else heard of an oil filter making a buzzing or vibration?

oil, oil filter & coolant change i'd say.
make sure everythings tight (engine mounts?) & chain is properly adjusted and oiled
bottome ned noise as in shell / big end failure, you'd feel rumbling through the pegs and rumbling noise when it's under load, ie accelerating in a high gear up a hill

New oil and coolant was done less than 2 months ago (wouldnt say I have done more than 1000 miles) No vibration at all while riding.
Chain is needing changed but the noise is there while Im stationary.
