You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Lol, it will be gone sooner rather than later though..... Before i picked it up, i expected to see a large crater

Stick a 2p in the dimple, a bit o' filler, and smooth it down with wet'n'dry.
Then put a sticker on that.
Then pout lots more stickers on, and the one covering the dent won't stand out.
