Raising the rear end with a spacer or washer(s) under the top rear shock mount is not recommended if your Firestorm has the standard set-up front forks, especially if you are on the heavy side.
The standard front forks are softly sprung and will bottom out with spirited riding. Fitting a rear shock spacer will only make this problem worse.
Your best bet it to get your forks re-worked by Roger D first, before trying a rear shock spacer,

I've got one of these spacers and I thought it made a difference.
But if your going to get one of the chap on ebay that clivey has put the link up for, email him instead of the auction, you'll see some people pay up and above £10 in the ebay auction.
He did mine for £5 delivered - which for you metal workery type out there I know is a rip off for what you get but it was easy!!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
