fitted new bottom yoke - couldnt fit the fancy carbon top one tho cos the ignition switch has got shearbolts on and i cba drilling them out.
put new taper bearings in - the ones already in had come loose - probably from when i dinged it.
here's the offending article

you can clearly see it's twisted - though only slightly, it meant the mudguard was squiffed to one side & didn't look right, the spindle was a pig to get in and the wheel wouldn't sit perpendicular, so on the road it handled sh1t on right handers, like it didn't want to go, but it fell into left handers
also the bars were twisted to the right, like a car with the tracking out.
difference with the new ones???
feels very odd lol, cos ive got used to riding it with bent jokes!
took it for a 180mile blast and after a hr or so got used to it and it feels a lot better like flicking it right then left on roundabouts feels a lot better, no judder on hard braking, probably cos of the new bearings tightened up proper.
all in, it took about 3hrs.
also welded an m5 nut on each yoke stop to reduce the steering lock and get rid of the trap zone between the bars and tank - nearly dropped it a few times while turning it round cos my hand got trapped. can't happen now but obviously it will increase the turning circle.
just when i think ive got it all right i'll probably fall off it and crouton it up again!
