What a stump!

Post by Beamish »

Pulled up after a fantastic, intense, extremely quick ride desperate to chat about the series of S bends we had just nailed to perfection when........

I dropped the side stand on a little branch, that flicked it straight back up without me knowing..................goes to leap of the bike and oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :eek2 :eek2

Down she went.....

BOLLLLLLOOOOOOOO***********************************************

Got away with it very lightly to be fair, broken clutch lever (OE replacement £11 delivered) and the front left indicator housing cracked. No body work damage at all

Moral of the story, always check your side stand twice, especially when the adrenaline is flowing :biggrin  :biggrin
I see myself as a sensitive intelligent man but with the heart of a clown that causes me to **ck things up right at that crucial moment........'Jim Morrison'

sh1t! what a pisser!

done that parking downhill thing before and same thing happened. bike rolled forward as i stepped off, fortunately it fell on me!
on my 750f i parked it at the bottom of the drive ticking over while i nipped back in for summat, heard a mega scream, looked out to find my ltlle un had jumped on it and used the gear lever as a footpeg to get off, knocked it in 1st and jerked it off the stand.
it fell against my works passat putting a very nasty and hard to explain scrape on the back quarter, bent the brake lever and broke the mirror on the bike

worse when there's a crowd tho!
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
