rebuilding bike with used frame and V5

Sorry this is non vtr
I have a ped that has been brought into uk from france And I am unable to get any documentation for it apart from the bill of sale from france No papers are avalible from the manufacturers . This is making the process of getting it registered here very difficult . Now I have no idea if this is ok or not but if I rebuilt it with a used frame with a v5 would I be breaking the law .

nup frame and V5 go together just have to change the engine number on the V5

One thing I would do is keep the receipt for the other bike if the frames reg year is different to the one you have as there’s year markings on all sorts of parts and plod could be asking were all the bits came from if you’re ever pulled

Decided to sell it off as spares its got a very engine a good bodywork infact its in very good nick, good that I did not pay a lot for it and its not costing me anything to stay in the garage
