change of clip ons
Just changed back to standard clip ons from VFR ones ready for the mot as i don't want to cut the top fairing about. OMG i can't believe the difference
I thought my storm was a good comfy bike with no problems with wrist ache etc. Well it was until i swapped the bars back. Did 13.4 miles, got wrist ache after 5 and numb fingers after 10 miles. Back aches and the handling seems so different. Front felt very wandery and vague and i felt virtually every bump. With the VFR bars i can do a full tank without stopping and get off and feel like i just popped up the road and carry on, I can chuck it around like a 250 and think nothing of it. Wow, going to be booking the MOT asap and get these bars off pretty quick. If you haven't tried the bar risers or swapped to VFR ones yet and find the storm a pain on long runs or through town give it ago, you'll be amazed at the comfort difference.

would make more use of a set of butt sliders these days

Re: change of clip ons
still got my viffer bars in the garage, didn't refit them after putting the bike back on the road and tbh ive got used to it as it is now...
makes a difference with the rear sets on tho, changed the posture quite a bit for such a small difference in peg position.
did over 300 mile yesterday and still managed a fiddler when i got in

Re: change of clip ons
I've never ridden it with the stardard bars on so it seems a big diffrence. I know i'll get used to it if i kept them on but to be honest i can't wait to swap them back. The only bonus is that at speed i don't get as much wind blast but that doesn't out way the benifits for me. I didn't think about having a fiddler when i got home though mate, behaps i should go out again and have ago when i come back as i'm sure it would feel like someone else's hand

I found at first I got sore back, wrists and numb fingers but being very careful to keep weight off my wrists its now all good. This on standard bars.
Rode 230 miles last Sunday with the only ache in my elbows.
Didnt fancy a J. Arthur when i got home so cant tell if that was affected!

your posture when riding is as near as perfect imo, assuming you're not cramped up on it like...
