might be of interest to some of you

indeed :biggrin

the guy fitted them but thought they were too loud, so took them off and fitted some twin outlet leos.
absolutely mint, brand spanking new - a 1er

collection so far.... standard standards, debaffled standards, carbon viper stubbies, art titaniums, laser dualsound (excellent!) and these, with a choice of high and low link pipes.
wasn't going to fit them til after the respray, but seeing as it's rainin & i've nothing better to do til the sun comes out....

cheers for the link jonesey - wasn't going to bother but at that price couldn't resist!

tbh might have an experiment and use the hi link pipes with my black art cans, they sound ace but the bike wouldn't rev out proper with them on.
(might also have had something to do with the fact that i'd forgot to re-attach the tps and left the carb balancing pipes open instead of putting them on my vac valves lol!)
i think with the longer link pipes they should work ok.... save the shiny cans for after the paint job

well, just tried them on..... they fit well but i reckon they will melt the indicators lol!
also the cans obscure the indicators from the side (mini arrows)
looks like i'll have to get a tail light with indicators built in :biggrin

oh, and they make the swing arm look sh1t!

anyone else had this problem??

One of the worst things about this bike is the mickey mouse designed SA, looks like its off a CZ125.

I melted my first set of indicators with hi levels, been there

I've got mini LEDs now, short stalks, and managed to rotate link pipes out a bit....

As for the swingarm - I have a fireblade brace and hugger to fit - I'm gonna powdercoat the SA black, and the hugger sprayed orange to match....

Hope that improves things.....

yeh clive ive got mini ones on now but there's only like 1" between the cans and the lenses so apart from them melting, i dont like that cars cant see them from the side, changing lanes etc...

i notice you have stubbies on yours tho so they dont cover the indicators - mine are full length cans and i don't want to cut them down cos it will cut the peak rpm like the art ones did.

re the swing arm.... quite fancy fitting a brace on mine - looks good...
mine's blacked up atm but still looks naff imo.
i bought another sa to polish up but let it go to a needy cause....
might have to do the vfr mod tbh, eventually.

ebay to the rescue - ordered a clear led back light with indicators. std one looks sh1t anyway imo.

The tail light is another project - I have a spare lens I am disassembling, I have LED strips for tail, SMD LEDs for brake - and strobing LED for super visible brake lights!

I'm pulling the lens off, then mounting them all up on a wrinkly steel reflector - and I have a couple of different fresnel lenses to make a diffuser....

One of my projects - with the S/Arm, DGI/voltmeter, belly pan to repair/fab - and anything else that hits me

so many bargain sets of cans on ebay atm you'd be mad spending so much imo unless you really want brand new ones.
i just got a belting set for a ton, 100% mint and seb linked to some leos that went for 102.
bear in mind they are like 350+ new....

the vipers are good mind, and very loud.
when i had them on mine they really let the bike breathe, revved though very well but i wrecked the left one when i came off.

someone did say those ones on ebay are a tw@ to fit, but mine were on in 20 mins... must just be me being pro spannerman and having more hammers than peter sutcliffe :biggrin
