sorry dad don't want a bike no

Post by warby221 »

Just had to pass on this on i’ve still got a big grin on my face
For the past year I’ve been fixing up an aprilia af1 50 for my son it was meant to be done for his 16 birthday but because of other things getting in the way I’ve only just got to the point of finishing it the panels need put back on after spraying them and a few bits and pieces to get like mirrors and a few nuts and bolts then recover the pillion seat in black. then the lad said he didn’t want to ride a bike 8O :x :x :x

The bike was originally a af1 50 with a factory fitted 80cc kit
Never new why someone would get an 80cc bike when the learner limit at the time was 125cc
Well I do now apparently when they use to race 50s they upped the cc limit to 80cc for the class
Hence this bike having a 80cc engine so I just gave it a quick ride up the back street and it go’s like greased Wessel sh*t even dragging me along :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin :cool2 :cool2
Probably a good move him not wanting it any more so once it’s finished it will probably be sold off

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Warby,
Perhaps one should ask how long ago was your son 16yrs old

All joking aside mate you've done a nice job  I would say it's a win win situation IMHO  although perhaps he wants you to get him a car now

Lol Chris he is 17 next month the push was for him to go to college on it
him not wanting it now is more to do with the fact he would have to pay for his own insurance than anything else

Well Jim you met him at the racing last year so not a bad description

Tried beating him Tim but the buggers getting to strong now and I’m getting to brittle

Thought of keeping it but with me on it the bike vanishes up my buttock crevice and it looks like I’m on a 2 stroke magic carpet :biggrin :biggrin

Seb you really know how to make friends don’t you
If this comment was put up by someone that anyone took notice off then I’d be annoyed
But as it’s you we’ll just put it down to solvent abuse and all the dead brain cells rotting away shall we
p.s I’ll not mention the shoes as proof
