Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative to these?

Or are they pretty much all i can use?

That's the standard solution.
If you take the joint apart carefully you can leave them inside the female part of the pipe and just reassemble them, no need to replace on every occasion.

But then I don't mind a bit of popping and banging on the over run, and I know it annoys some folks.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

no cheaper alternative i could find, had to order one beginning of the week well worth it though my bike seems a lot happier with it.
