RQ - just had a look on the site you gave. With current exchange rate it would be closer to Â£6990.
How are they as a dealer?

Good backup and repairs. They'll really look after you when they know you. I was using http://www.xe.com/ucc/ to calculate the currency. This VRT over here screws us when it comes to comparing prices. I was talking to a mate who buys VW's for the place they work. She gets them for â‚¬16k, and then the government puts the 21% registration tax on it. We are taking it up the ass here.

Cant you buy a pre reg / used one to avoid tax? there is a cheap 04plate 1300 mile copper one on ebay for Â£4500 !

If I roughly convert that to $ its bout $17000 were as here thay are selling for $14000 bout 4600 pounds and they will through in a set of Yoshie pipes.
I paid the same for my Storm and it came with free Scorpions.

Firestoms dont go all cheese in winter and melt and the TL was a far
better bike than the SV the handling was ok just shuck its head a bit

Looks like you suffered from a classic case of seized pistons.

Here's a tip for you. When your brakes become spongyor require a fist load to stop you give your pistons a wee clean with some cotton buds ( Q-tips for all you yanks

) and some brake fluid. Make sure all the pistons can move freely and be pushed back by hand. You should notice a dramatic improvement in the power and feel of your brakes after that without blaming it on the brake lines and splashing out on braided lines unnecessaraly.

Tell you what though, it's nearly two years since I got bit by the dreaded cam chain tensioner bug but I still love the FireStorm ans am sooooo tempted to get another one ( provided del can sort me out some of his extra special modified CCt's

)
