Hi All from sunny Blackpool (NOT!)

Post by mactat2 »

Just joined the site and very informative it looks too :D I havent owned a firestorm yet but am planning one as my next bike when i sell my zx6r. I'm a little concerned with the CCT issue, are they really that bad? My last two bikes have been zx6r's and my first was a vfr 400 so i'm looking forward to a big twin :D
cheers
Mac

Welcome aboard Mac

There's ways around the CCT issue that will give you piece of mind.

My advice would be to get a test ride on one before committing yourself first.

cct job is easy bud, half a day tops.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Hi, good of you to drop by.

CCT's are easy enough, just replace with manuals or do the stopper mod (see the Workshop section).
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hi Guys, Got myself a storm now :D got vtrbob's black one. Luckily he's done the cct's with the stopper mod so i can relax there. i'll get some pics up shortly. Storm owners in Thornton cool :D Bobs already done loads to the storm but i have a few plans of my own for it over the winter, possibly a new paint scheme/graphics and maybe a tail swap?
