im new to this v twin buisness so take it easy on me
Hiya fella you are of course rite water does normaly boil at 100 c but because your cooling system is under pressure the boiling point is actualy more like 110/120 cars and bikes operate most efficiently around 95 c . on a warm day its normal for a bike/car to run alittle hotter than normal because of the hotter air goin through your radiator and will tend to get realy hot sitting in traffic. As long as it doesnt go into the red i wouldnt worry and check that your cooling fan kicks in when sittin still in traffic etc it should come on around 110c and go off at 95 but it depends how accurate the gauge is. I remember when i borrowed my mates sp1 for the day it was a summers day and it did run up in the 100 cs. You may also notice that if you go out on a cold day your bike will run alot cooler as the air goin through your radiator is alot cooler than in summer.
Hope this helps i sure some other folks will jump in and give you there opinion on this matter to put you mind at rest.
