scottoiler
scottoiler
Hi all some advice on fitting a scottoiler, there are 2 pipes on the left hand side of the tanks going up to the fuel tap there large one of the two is a fuel feed so I guess the other is a vacuum pipe so I can only guess this is ok two cut and put the T piece into ?

Re: scottoiler
there are 2 large diameter pipes and 2 small diameter pipes.
the larger are fuel pipes to the carbs, the smaller ones.... the one that goes to a stub pointing downwards off the bottom of the tank is a breather, the one that goes to the fuel tap is the vacuum pipe.
yes, you cut that one and tee it off to the oiler.
or if you have a mk7 universal scottoiler with all the fitting kit, use the m5 brass adapter and screw it into the front inlet stub under the front carb, in place of the 8mm cap. (tw@ to get at lol)
you can then run a hose off to the scottoiler and this will double as a carb balancing line for when you decide to give it a go.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
