i ordered these on 22nd july lol, first they sent me the wrong parts, then finally they arrived.
part number16050-mbb-d41
what happened is, i fitted some smaller springs from a dynojet race kit which i got cheap... on the dyno it became apparent that the slide was lifting fully at 3k rpm, opening up the main jet way too early & making the mixture stupidly over-rich.
unfortunately i couldn't just refit the original ones cos i trod on one and flattened the fker :/
so i fitted the one good original spring and sort of made one to get me by, expecting 5-7 days wait...
this is what i've been running on-

the left one is the home-made effort, the middle is the original one, and the one on the right is one of a matched pair of new ones
look at the difference lol!
obviously this has been drastically affecting the carb balance up to 6-7k when the slide would normally be fully open, as the different spring length and strength would affect the way the vacuum pulls the diaphragm,
but look at the difference between the original spring and a new one

obviously these springs are a wearing part - maybe they should be replaced after so many miles / years?
once these are in & my .50 pilots (doing it atm) - and i've fixed my blowing rear header & re-balanced the carbs, i'll stick it back on the same dyno & see what the difference is
