Shock sock
anyone got one / used one,if so what, where from etc. Can't afford a hugger and not sure i like 'em anyway
Re: Shock sock
R+G do them, popular in the states, particularly for off-road bikes.
Might consider myself if I can't get the carbon hugger back on mine after I fit the swingarm brace.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Shock sock
I use one ... just re-installed it on the Storm. Had it on last years FZ1 .... rode it all through last winter. The Shock Tube kept kept it clean and corrosion free. I did open it once to blast more WD40 into it. I got mine direct from the chap that owns/owned the business but as tony.mon says you can get them from R&G. I think it's the same thing. They are size specific (S,M,L) but I guess that's determined at the point of sale.
It's a neoprene sheet turned over top & bottom to form slots for easy release cable ties. You literally wrap the shock and close with the velcro fixings, having liberally applied WD40 inside, and pull the zip ties up. Job done. Any budding gynecologists out there will have no problems performing the routine.
