need to borrow a front headstock stand

Post by warby221 »

Ok peeps need to borrow a front headstock stand (one that lifts from under the headstock)
Going to be changing the fork seals and it one of the few bits of kit that I haven’t got
If anyone could help me out before I fork out for one it would be appreciated

You can get away without one, if no-one volunteers a lend.
Once the fairing and front wheel is off and the mudguard, a simple box of tools or something heavy on the rear seat means that you can just use a rear paddock stand and a jack under the sump.
Twist the fork legs instead of just pulling and the come out one at a time real easy.

And if you only unbolt and remove one leg at a time you won't have to reset the steering head/wheel angle afterwards.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
