just fitted high levels

Post by davros »

It's taken some time but eventually managed to get some titanium Leo Vince high level cans off ebay, got some hangers made from stainless steel (havn't polished them up yet). I need to get some better quality hanger straps though. Hope to test it out soon if we get a break in the crap weather. :) :)

Yeah, he keeps licking it. (See the strap line).
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

That's one biker fetish out in the open, we'll not mention the one involving the wife/girlfriends stockings, keep your legs warm under your leathers !, but that's just denial, own up what yours ?

Cheers Chris (cost me £25 to have them lazercut)they should look better when I polish them, I think the cans are too long though could probably do with cutting a few inches off, another one added to the long list of things to sort out yet. :)

I agree.............hangers look the dogs, nice idea and well worth £25

Also shortening the cans or the link pipes will help as well.....that bike will look special come spring time........nice work mate

just a tip if youre thinking of shortening them....

drill the rivet straps out of both ends before you make any cuts...
the perforated tube inside will be welded at one end, and sods law will say it will be on the end you cut, meaning when you reassemble the shortened cans, it won't be long before they start rattling.

if you drill out the straps from both ends, one of the end caps will pull off attached to the tube.
dont forget when you are measuring to cut, you want the tube to push into the end cap about 1/2" on the other end, so cut the perforated tube 1/2" longer than the sleeve

oh & wrap masking tape round the sleeve to stop the blade skidding across the slippy surface & marking them!
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
