Sell it and buy a blade.
Yep.

Why would you need 150bhp anyway?
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

tbh you'd have to spend serious £ to get 120+ from a storm engine.
look at the moriwaki ones - i think they run like 128 tops?
you'd be looking at full exhaust system, major head work, hc pistons, welded crank, different rods, cams, uprated clutch, different carbs or fi & pc3 not to mention the frame, swing arm, brakes & suspension mods you'd need.

don't think i'd like to ride a 150 bhp firestorm anyway lol, they're just not made for it.
if you want to go to that extreme, just get yourself a sp1 or 2 and do some basic tweaks - and they have the handling to cope with the extra power.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Not possible I would have thought.
Engine design to old and it's runs on carbs.....

RSV 143 (Rotax engine)
SP1 133 (Not a Firestorm engine anyway)
KTM are just now over 150
New Dukes are just now over 160.

Things move on the storm design must be 16 years old I would have thought.

The main limiting factor is the swinging arm mounting points being cast into the rear of the crankcase.
They become unreliable and crack/fail at around 130 brake, apparently.

All other problems are solveable with time and money.... (lots of money   )

150 brake? Easiest is a blower, gets it in one.
But the back end will still fall off after a while.

But if you want a bit more, I can build you up a motor with high-compression pistons (10.5:1, from 9.4:1), high-lift cams (+1mm lift, and about 10 degrees more dwell) and gasflowed heads like mine, watch this space for dyno figures over the winter.
I have a donor motor, cams and time, and can quote if you want.
I was going to offer this a as service on here once I had the dyno readout proof, so people could see exactly what they were getting.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Roger Ditchfield (at http://www.revolutionuk.co.uk/) 's stage3 Firestorms were producing 150bhp 8)
Tony is right though, the frames were strengthened around the swingarm/engine mount, plus plenty of other up-grades to cope with the extra power.

Now thats more like it I'm sure loads of folks on here would want a bit more horse power if the deals were right......

The mods on the frame what does that entail...still interested to be honest......think it would be ace to have a flyer.......

Tony I'll get you a pm... :)
