Hi all

I am in the process of attempting to put in manual Cct. However a previous owner has destroyed to centre alternator cover. Before I attempt to remove can somebody confirm it's a normal thread and not a left hand thread.

Normal thread, and on my old storm I drilled 2 holes either side of the buggered hex hole, and used an angle grinder disc key to remove it.

Dave silvers sells them just smear some copper slip on the threads before you reinstall it so it will come out again

You can drift it out with a centre punch, but be aware that you need to tap it about 5mm in from the outside edge of the cap, and not too hard, or you could break the alternator cover casting.

Start by putting in two centre punch marks diametrically opposite each other on the cap.
Now working in each spot alternately, tap the cap in the required undoing direction.
It should come loose after a while.

Sadly I bought them from E-Blag as a one-off, and haven't seen them before or since.

I’m assuming you’re on about the centre nut cover here and not the complete flywheel cover

unfortunately that is the smaller 14mm cap, which is made of steel and is unlikely to cheese when you attempt to remove it.
you will want the 30mm cap which is part number 90087KT7000 CAP,30MM
if you put that number into the 'search part number' box at silvers or wemoto, you will find it np
or order one from your local honda stealer.
they are approx 13 euros. which is about £83
