Cct fitted

Post by chi kung »

I fitted manual ccts today and all seems well but just a couple of questions.

The manual ones I fitted have no rubber end is that ok? Bike runs sweet but just a quick thought as I'm no mechanic.

Thanks to rider on the storm for the bargain ccts and thanks for the instruction in the workshop.

I have been hiding my bike at work in a store cupboard and secretly working on it here and there. It took about 4 hours all in so I would say try it and it's very easy.

Do I need to bed them in or can I start thrashing it now?

Thanks

there is no rubber on the end m8 -or on the apes which are more than double what you paid for the TT's and not as good imo.

assuming you've let it run to temp, restarted it & not heard a squeak from the camchain cos it's too tight....
yes, leather it
hope you did those locknuts up good & tight though????
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Thrash it? Is there any other way?

The job's mostly about confidence, and following the Forum instructions to the letter.
But I expect you had the heart-in-mouth moment when you pushed the button.....
Well done
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Benny is right, no rubber end on the manual CCT's.

You may find a fine adjustment is needed after giving the bike it's first run, but if you don't hear any rattling, or squeaks when starting then you should be fine.

Well done
