What Mods?

Post by Jester666 »

So, I've joined the 'Storm Club. 1998 VTR1000 F.

What are the best/most popular performance mods?

Different front end? Dynojet kit? Rear Shock? Front Fork springs? Turbo? NOS? Supercharger? :)

I already have nice loud cans (Baffles on order Officer :) ), solo seat cowl, heated grips (lovely at this time of year!)

I'll be looking at doing lots of track time next year (Intermediates) so what do people recommend?

Cheers, Jester

sort the camchain tensioners first

then tbh unless you want to spend a load on dyno time, just concentrate on getting the handling & brakes right.
a standard storm is quick enough to keep up with (piss on) most stuff on the road & track as long as you can corner it & brake proper.
plenty of threads on forks work & rear shocks, brake upgrades etc.
best thing i did with mine was progressive springs front & back - big difference
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Yeah as Benny says CCT's need addressing, so does the rectifier if it still has the standard non-finned item fitted.
