Post by bluesman »

Dear Stormers,
Does anybody by chance knows what is torque settings for clipons pinch bolt? I checked in service manual (one that on Internet) - but no information there...and my Haynes still enroute...

Don't know..........often change position of mine.......up a bit, down a bit.
never bothered with torque setting but not too tight or will snap off.
no problems...........yet
it may be clever, but its not big.

http://www.kamware.com/vtr1000f/torque.htm

This site has a lot of Torque settings - but none for the handlebars. only for the bar end weights. :?

I would not bother about those too much either. Can you not just fit them and set to the correct settings when the manual arrives?

yep, it can wait for later - there is still few other things to do...
I just thought that may be somebody know (not a really commonly required kind of information ::) - at the end it is fork tubes I am tightening against, so - just don't want to tighten it too much...
It's funny - even in VTR workshop manual there is no torque for clipons...strange...
