You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I worked for MCN back in '86 for the advertising dept. Mon to Weds on the road visitin dealers in Essex & East London on a BMW K100 then Thurs & Fri in the office bashing the phones. All sounds quite nice but as per normal with sales jobs it was all performance related & I spent too much time drinking tea & yacking rather than selling Ad's. Got bored & left after 6 months!
