Clutch slave cylinder diameter?

Post by mik_str »

Anyone know the diameter of the slave cylinder used to operate the clutch? I checked the shop manual and virtually every spec and measurement is there.... except this one.

cheers

FYI, just got a reply to my question on the Superhawk forum and the i.d. is 35.5mm.

Nothing like answering your own question hey Micky

Well done to the guy who had that info.

My guess is you're thinking about trying a different piston size clutch slave cylinder

Given my predisposition to seemingly ask questions that no one else has, I have become a master at answering them myself, lol

As for the reasons behind my query, I will be replacing both master cylinders (looking like Ducati 1098 Brembo OEM bits for now, but I also have a Discacciati 16x19 billet brake MC on the way (got a great deal on it) so I may look at hooking it up with a matching unit on the clutch side). My question, then, was to ensure the MC and slave sizes were well matched up.

Now you know :)

P.S. eBay is evil, lol

have a look for the brembo radial mc's fitted as standard to ktms.
apparently there are loads of them on ebay and they are very good indeed, but you may need to get new lines made up or different banjos swaged on.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Ah well, my idea of you trying to alter the amount of pressure required to lift the clutch at the clutch lever was wrong

I like Brembo bits 8) but not the usual cost of such bling items

Good luck with it all anyway,

Chris.
