Norwegian riding manual

Although the Norwegians are famous for many things, no I can't think of them either, having one of the lowest rates of motorcycle accidents is a new one on me!
The reason, apart from not being able to ride for a chunk the year, could be "Full Control" a guide to bike riding that has now been issued in English.
This could be the most useful thing in MCN for ages, anyway here it is :beer:

That looks interesting. Have downloaded it and will have a good read when time allows. :)

One thing I learnt from it, amongst many, was that bikes such as ours with small rear brake discs are meant to be braked with only the front brake.
I used to be an RAC/ACU and then BMF Instructor and we always taught the 75% front 25% rear braking technique.......

Hmm, I use front/back about 50/50 and alway6s use the rear to settle the suspension before a bend - you can "steer" on the back brake. I only use the fronts for serious stopping needs :D

I use the front almost all the time and only use the rear when there's gravel or a slippery surface- I can deal with the back end sliding about, but prefer not to have to deal with the front end sliding about!

Settling the bike into a bend is also useful work for the rear, and when I want to show a brake light- vee twins can brake quite heavily using gears alone, and it can catch following car drivers out if they're just watching for a brake light.

But my favourite bit (apart from the dead badger unsettling the bike in corners) is:
"Let muschles in stomach and
back take up the forces".

Yeah, muschles- I got some of those holding the beer gut in place, I think.......

the reason there arent many accidents in norway is because they only have one road and it has no bends.
& all the bikers come out on the same day (the one day they have daylight)in a massive 20mph procession.
if one falls off at the front they are all fkt.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Nah, not mine. I want to go to Norway now though!! Shall we change the venue for May?

I'm sure I suffered mild hypothermia that Friday night camping in Wales last year so stuff that!! lol
