The throttle bodies are only 42mm, but any carb-FI conversion usually drops inlet diameter a little, so that should still work.
The main reason is that it would then be much easier to map for nitrous or a turbo.
At the moment this is just blue-sky thinking, but has anyone seen any info on this being done?
I trawled Superhawk and the Varadero sites; lots of people discussed it but I can't find any that have actually done it (or tried and failed!).
Although it would probably be possible to fit the Vara FI onto a Storm engine I'm thinking that the various sensorsa re already in place in the Vara lump, so it would be easier to just fit VTR parts to the XL engine than the other way round.
The heads might need some work either way; Vara heads would have the inlets ported to suit the 42mm bodies but will have cam sensors already in place, but the VTR heads would come with the larger valves already fitted.
Much more thinking and planning before I hit E-Bay, I feel!
