I appear to have bought another one....

Post by tony.mon »

A red one, on an S plate.
Non- runner- starter clutch problem.

It has high-level Mig's on it,though....

Once it's running I'll let you know if it's faster than my yellow one, to settle this once and for all.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

defintely red on any bike is faster :Woohoo1: and you may want someone who's been riding a red one to test it for you especially after riding the slow yellow ones, (not me though i'm still trying to get used to mine lol)

What you need to do is merge the top end speed of a Red one, with the torque and acceleration of a Yellow one....

The result...?

....why it can only be ORANGE!!!

I can't believe you got another, bet the wife weren't too happy.

PS. it will be an unfair fight, you have had a lot of work done on the yellow one.

That is a true statment!!! you would have to do a lot of work to a Yellow one, just to make it as fast as the red ones :biggrin :biggrin

I will rise above the speed colour debate here [cause I have the moral high ground :) ]..

Tony out of interest what did you pay for the 2nd bike?

I'll be selling the red one on as soon as it's fixed, serviced, CCT's replaced and a new chain guard fitted, carbs balanced, oh, and tax and MOT.
But I bought it as a non-runner, after the mechanic admitted he couldn't fix it (he bought a brand new sprag clutch, it still wouldn't work).
I'm not bothered, because if it's anything more than a quick fix I'll just drop a spare engine into it.

I'll be after £1000. No haggling, that's pretty good money for a clean serviced one.

Import, standard apart from high level pipes and cats eye rear indicators; good Diablo tyres.
Showing 75,000KM or so.

So I can't say what I paid (until after it's sold).
But I won't be losing money....

Two in the queue already...

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
